Tanzania Adventure Wins Top Tourism Service Award in Africa

Zara Tanzania Adventure, based in Moshi, Kilimanjaro, has once again been honored with the prestigious World Travel Award for outstanding tourism agency services in Africa.

The award was presented to the company's director, Zainab Ansell, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the provision of world-class tourism services.

The ceremony took place on the night of October 15 in the United Arab Emirates, with Zainab Ansell accompanied by her daughter Leila, one of the company's directors.

This award marks the second consecutive year that Zara Tanzania Adventure has been named the Best Tourism Company in Africa. Last year's accolade, along with this year's, was celebrated during the award ceremonies held in Dubai.

Speaking after receiving the award at Zara Tours headquarters in Moshi, Zainab Ansell, affectionately known as Mama Zara, expressed her gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to these achievements, including the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, the Tanzania Tourist Board, and the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA).

Mama Zara also extended her thanks to President Samia Suluhu Hassan for promoting tourism through her Royal Tour video, which played a crucial role in showcasing Tanzania's attractions and boosting the tourism sector.

"As Zara, we are deeply honored to receive this award for the second time. We feel even more empowered, and we're thankful to God. We extend our sincere appreciation to President Samia, whose Royal Tour video has significantly contributed to promoting tourism in our country," Mama Zara stated.

She revealed her current focus on the "Twende Zetu Kilimanjaro" campaign, leading up to the celebration of Tanganyika Independence Day. A significant number of visitors are expected to climb Mount Kilimanjaro from December 5 to December 9 this year.

Rahma Adam, Zara Tours Manager, announced that on December 4, the company is planning to raise the national flag on Mount Kilimanjaro as part of the Tanganyika Independence Day celebrations.

Nancy Ngotea, the company's marketing officer, expressed their joy at receiving this global award and warmly welcomed all Tanzanians to join them in climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. She also extended her appreciation to President Samia for her efforts in promoting tourism in collaboration with various tourism stakeholders and those who received awards.

Founded in 1987, Zara Tanzania Adventure achieved international recognition by winning the Humanitarian Award at a global market event in London, United Kingdom, in 2022
