Dr. Philip Mpango, Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, has urged the staff of the Office of the Vice President to diligently oversee and manage various environmental programs aimed at conserving and safeguarding the environment for the benefit of current and future generations.



Dr. Mpango made these remarks during a working session with leaders and staff of the Office of the Vice President at the Kambarage Conference Hall in Dodoma. 


He emphasized the critical need to intensify efforts in environmental conservation, highlighting ongoing challenges of degradation and pollution in many parts of the country.



Furthermore, the Vice President encouraged office staff to innovate and collaborate with stakeholders and citizens to promote the use of clean cooking energy. 


He stressed the importance of ensuring affordable alternative energy sources to facilitate widespread adoption by Tanzanians.


Dr. Mpango also urged creativity in project development to attract investment funds that support nationwide environmental conservation efforts. 


Additionally, he emphasized the importance of strengthening the Carbon Trading Monitoring Center to maximize benefits from this rapidly growing global trade.


Addressing national unity, the Vice President underscored the significance of educating citizens on the Union's benefits and combatting misinformation, particularly on social media platforms. 


He advocated for modern educational approaches, including arts and media, and encouraged youth engagement with historical documents and books about the Union.


In conclusion, Dr. Mpango called upon the department responsible for Union matters to actively participate in crucial meetings and collaborate effectively in resolving outstanding Union-related issues.


The Vice President urged the staff of the Office of the Vice President to work diligently and professionally to contribute to the nation's development.
