Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Dr. Doto Mashaka Biteko, is expected to officiate the upcoming Karibu Kili Fair 2025 as the guest of honour. The event aims to showcase the tourism value chain and enhance economic opportunities for Tanzanians.
Speaking to journalists today, June 2, 2025, during an inspection of the preparations, Arusha Regional Commissioner Paul Christian Makonda announced, “The Karibu Kili Fair 2025 will be officially launched on June 6 and will conclude on June 8 this year at the Magereza Grounds in Kisongo.”
Makonda highlighted that over 500 companies from more than 40 countries are expected to participate, exchanging ideas and significantly boosting the tourism sector. He encouraged the public and tourism stakeholders to make the most of this opportunity.
“Karibu Kili Fair presents a great opportunity for the people of Arusha Region, Tanzanians, and East Africans. It is an economic platform that connects service providers with their clients to ensure that the value chain, championed by President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, yields tangible benefits for everyday lives,” Makonda stressed.
He further invited all Tanzanians to attend the event, saying, “There are numerous opportunities here to generate income and exchange experiences with international businesspeople.” He also urged all service providers to treat visitors with hospitality, to ensure they feel welcomed and are inspired to return.
Meanwhile, the Director of Kili Fair Company, Dominic Shoo, noted, “This year’s exhibition will be held at a much higher standard and will differ significantly from previous editions due to major improvements that have been made.”
Shoo added that preparations are currently 70% complete, and the exhibition space has been expanded to meet growing demand.
