KARIBU-KILIFAIR 2025: East Africa’s Premier Tourism Expo Returns with Innovation, Green Investment and Unmatched Business Opportunities

Media Works Limited, a leading company in printing, branding, staff uniforms, embroidery, advertising, and event management, has pledged full support for KARIBU-KILIFAIR 2025, East Africa’s largest tourism expo.

Speaking during a press conference held on May 22, 2025, at the elegant Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha, Noel Petro, Head of Sales and Marketing at Media Works, confirmed the company’s sponsorship and outlined its commitment to delivering tailored services for exhibitors and tourism stakeholders.

"We are excited to support this year’s fair with a full suite of services that cater directly to tourism businesses and exhibitors," said Petro.

"We’ve prepared branded promotional clothing such as t-shirts and shirts, and we’ll provide exhibition essentials like carpets, chairs, banners, and flyers to enhance presentation and visibility."

Petro further emphasized the importance of investing in permanent infrastructure at Magereza Grounds, the official venue of KARIBU-KILIFAIR.

"To grow tourism as a sustainable sector, we need long-term facilities—not just seasonal setups. Magereza Grounds should evolve into a permanent center for tourism and events," he said.

Joining the conversation, Huseyin Buyukballi, Managing Director of MB Homes Zanzibar, commended the fair for its pivotal role in connecting tourism with foreign investment.

"Everyone I speak to wants to visit two dream destinations: Tanzania and Cappadocia. KARIBU-KILIFAIR helps make that dream come true by attracting travelers who then fall in love with this country and choose to invest," he explained.

Buyukballi introduced MB Homes as a luxury real estate firm currently developing apartment projects in Nungwi and Fumba, Zanzibar.

These units feature five-star amenities, including pools, gyms, saunas, restaurants, co-working spaces, and more.

"Our buyers—mostly international—are confident here because Zanzibar uniquely allows foreigners to own property with title deeds," he noted.

He added that many of these property owners return annually and promote the destination to friends and family, creating a ripple effect of investment and tourism growth.

The 10th edition of KARIBU-KILIFAIR, scheduled to take place from June 6 to 8, 2025, at Magereza Grounds.

Event organizers Dominic Shoo and Tom Kunkler, Managing Directors of KILIFAIR Promotions Ltd, expressed excitement over this milestone edition.

"We’ve expanded the fair to 40,000 square meters and introduced an ‘East Africa Pavilion’ under the EAC’s ‘Visit East Africa – Feel the Vibe’ initiative,” said Shoo.

Kunkler highlighted the fair’s new Sustainable Tourism Initiative, which includes eco-conscious measures like refillable water stations, waste separation, wooden cutlery, and a special area dedicated to green innovations.

With 500+ exhibitors from 13 countries, 800+ travel agents from 40+ countries, and a projected 15,000 visitors, KARIBU-KILIFAIR 2025 is set to be the largest and most influential edition yet.

"Our slogan, ‘Where Business Meets Wildlife,’ reflects Tanzania’s rare blend of natural wonders and business potential. This fair is more than an exhibition—it’s a gateway to East Africa’s future," said Kunkler.

The organizers extended heartfelt thanks to the Government of Tanzania, President Samia Suluhu Hassan, Minister Dr. Pindi H. Chana, and key institutions such as Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB), TANAPA, NCAA, TAWA, TATO, Arusha Regional Commissioner Paul Makonda, and other local authorities for their strong support.

Entry fees for the public are set at TSH 10,000 for adults and TSH 5,000 for children, ensuring wide community participation in this flagship tourism event.
