Tanzania Showcases Tourism Attractions in Western Europe through "My Tanzania Roadshow 2025"

Tanzania is actively participating in a tourism promotion tour across Western Europe, which began on March 10 and will run until March 15, 2025. This event, known as the "My Tanzania Roadshow 2025", is a platform where tourism sellers and buyers meet, featuring over 50 tourism agents.

The roadshow, coordinated by Kili Fair, is being held in five major cities: Cologne (Germany), Antwerp (Belgium), Amsterdam (Netherlands), London, and Manchester (United Kingdom). These cities are key markets, with a large number of tourists visiting Tanzania each year.

The goal is to showcase the rich tourism potential of Tanzania and attract even more visitors from these countries.

Ernest Mwamaja, the Director of Marketing at the Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB), highlighted the importance of the event, stating, “Tourism stakeholders and sellers, including associations of tour operators, hotel owners, and airlines from Tanzania, are meeting with tourism buyers to conduct business."

Mwamaja further elaborated on the significant number of German tourists visiting Tanzania annually. "In Germany alone, approximately 100,000 tourists visit Tanzania's tourist attractions every year.

The response from stakeholders to participate in these tours has continued to grow each year."

Through the roadshow, Mwamaja emphasized the goal of increasing the number of tourists visiting Tanzania, which will, in turn, boost government revenue. He added, "Through these tours, especially in the Western European market, we will continue to encourage more visitors to come to Tanzania, increasing the government's revenue. We are confident that the government's efforts to improve tourism infrastructure will contribute to extending the length of stay for visitors as we have a wide range of attractions spread across many regions."

The roadshow also includes more than 50 private sector companies, as well as government institutions such as the Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB), the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA), and the Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA). Their participation provides assurance to the private sector that the government is supporting their efforts by creating a conducive environment, improving infrastructure, and providing services that enhance the tourism experience for visitors to Tanzania.

In conclusion, the "My Tanzania Roadshow 2025" is a significant event that is strengthening Tanzania's position as a top tourist destination. It highlights the ongoing commitment to developing the country's tourism industry and enhancing the visitor experience, ensuring Tanzania remains a sought-after destination in the global tourism market.
