Empowering Communities: Minister's Directive Sparks Tarmac Road Project in Arusha, Acknowledges Impactful Initiatives by International Evangelism Church.

The Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, responsible for Policy, Parliament, and Coordination, Jenista Mhagama, has instructed the Regional Commissioner of Arusha to oversee the implementation of President Samia Suluhu Hassan's commitment to constructing a tarmac road from Kikatiti to Sakila in the Arumeru district.

This initiative, currently in the initial stages of drainage construction, is expected to benefit local farmers engaged in vegetable and cereal crop cultivation for Arusha city.

Mhagama commended and assured cooperation to the International Evangelism Church (IEC) for their diverse community projects spanning education, health, water, and social development across Arusha and Manyara regions.

Speaking at the 83rd graduation ceremony of Sakila Bible College, where 76 students graduated with diplomas in pastoral studies, evangelism, mission, prophecy, and teaching, Mhagama addressed various issues.

She highlighted the resolution of electricity problems at the college following the Prime Minister's directive in June. Furthermore, she emphasized the importance of the planned road construction for the economy and the well-being of Sakila residents and neighboring villages.

Mhagama instructed the Regional Commissioner to ensure the road remains accessible throughout the year while the construction progresses. She also acknowledged the challenges faced by the Sakila dispensary, owned by the church, and directed both the Commissioner and her team to address the issue.

Regarding the church's Technical and Vocational Training College, Mhagama pledged to facilitate its participation in President Samia's subsidy program for vocational institutions.

In conclusion, she urged the graduates to teach with love, unite people, spread a morally upright gospel, and prioritize environmental conservation.

Bishop Elihudi Issangya, the Archbishop of IEC, expressed gratitude to President Samia for her leadership and outlined the church's focus on moral education, respect, and the foundational building of strong families.

Earlier, Deputy Archbishop Yohana Mgonja shared the history of Sakila Bible College, which has trained over 10,000 ministers since its establishment in 1983. He outlined the church's broader plans, including establishing a university and upgrading the Sakila dispensary to a hospital.

IEC has contributed significantly to the community, providing free medical services, technical training, and supporting orphaned children through education, clothing, shelter, and healthcare. The church also operates the New Life radio station, promoting education and spreading the word of God.
