The Public Procurement Appeals Authority (PPAA) has announced that the module of the new system for electronically submitting and handling complaints and appeals (Complaint and Appeal Management) will officially commence operations starting July 1, 2024.
This was revealed by the Executive Secretary of PPAA, Mr. James Sando, during an interview on the Morning Heat show on Efm in Dar es Salaam regarding the new module for electronic submission and handling of complaints and appeals.
"The amendments to the Public Procurement Act of 2023 have mandated procuring entities and bidders to use the Electronic Public Procurement System (NeST), where PPAA, in collaboration with PPRA, has developed a new module for electronically submitting and handling complaints and appeals to meet the requirements of the law," said Mr. Sando.
Mr. Sando added that the electronic module for submitting and handling complaints and appeals will officially commence on July 1, 2024. Among other things, he urged bidders and procuring entities from the regions of Dar es Salaam, Morogoro, Tanga, and Pwani to participate in the first-phase training on the system scheduled for May 29th and 30th, 2024, in Dar es Salaam.
