Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa has arrived today, January 18, 2024, in Uganda, representing President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan at the 19th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), which commenced on January 15 and runs until January 20, 2024.
Additionally, he will stand in for President Samia at the Third Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Group of 77+China scheduled for January 21-22, 2024, in Kampala, Uganda.
The Prime Minister's delegation to these summits includes senior government officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Hon. January Makamba.
The NAM Summit, held every three years, follows the 18th Summit held in Baku, Azerbaijan, in October 2019. NAM comprises 120 member countries and governments with a policy of non-alignment
