TANZANIA CONTINUES TO PROMOTE TOURISM IN EUROPE, CAMPAIGN MOVES TO LONDON AND MANCHESTER

Tanzania’s tourism sector continues to gain momentum as the country strengthens its presence in Western Europe.

Ernest Mwamwaja, the Director of Marketing at the Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB), highlighted that Western European countries contribute significantly to the number of tourists visiting Tanzania.

According to 2023 statistics, approximately 100,000 tourists from Germany, over 80,000 from the United Kingdom, more than 37,000 from the Netherlands, and over 17,000 from Belgium visited Tanzania.

Mwamwaja further stated that these numbers are expected to grow starting this year as the country’s appeal as a prime tourism destination continues to rise.

The "My Tanzania Roadshow 2025," a campaign aimed at promoting Tanzania's tourism attractions, is currently underway in key European cities.

The roadshow, which began on March 10, 2025, has already visited Cologne (Germany), Antwerp (Belgium), and Amsterdam (Netherlands).

As of March 13, 2025, the campaign has now shifted to London and Manchester, with plans to further engage potential buyers in the UK tourism market.
