The Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Ambassador Dr. Pindi Chana, highlighted that President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s vision, embodied in the film "Tanzania: The Royal Tour', has played a crucial role in enhancing the number of visitors to Tanzania.
On August 27, 2024, Tanzania welcomed institutions and companies from Brazil focused on tourism, reflecting the deepening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Dr. Chana shared these insights during a dinner for the Brazilian guests at the Forest Hill Hotel in Arusha. She expressed gratitude to President Samia for her visionary approach, noting that the film has effectively promoted Tanzania on the global tourism stage. Under her leadership, the country has enjoyed peace and stability, contributing to a notable increase in tourist arrivals.
Dr. Chana assured Tanzanians that the tourism sector is thriving, with the Brazilian visitors exploring various aspects of the country, including its attractions and collaborating with the Tourism Transport Agency.
She further explained that Tanzania’s strong diplomatic relations with Brazil are facilitating easier visa access and encouraging Brazilian investors to explore opportunities in Tanzania. Dr. Chana invited the guests to experience Tanzania’s rich array of attractions and expressed her hope that the visit would lead to a greater influx of Brazilian travelers.
Tanzania’s Ambassador to Brazil, Professor Adelardus Kilangi, emphasized that the visit is a significant milestone in strengthening the relationship between Brazil and Tanzania, particularly in tourism. He noted that the guests' primary purpose is to explore tourism sites and encouraged them to also investigate investment opportunities in the sector.
Luciana Teixeiana, the coordinator of the Brazilian delegation, expressed enthusiasm about their visit and their interest in learning how Tanzania balances business promotion with environmental conservation. She also highlighted their goal to better understand and promote Tanzania.
