Innovative Academic Performance Management System Introduced in Dodoma

Alpha Mbennah, a 35-year-old engineer residing in Dodoma City, has unveiled a digital system for storing academic information of students from primary to university levels.

The system, named SPIN-ED (Academic Performance Management System), allows teachers to collect and input students' grades, calculate their averages, determine their grades, analyze class averages, and generate academic progress reports for each student.

Mbennah highlighted that the system also provides insights into individual student's class ranking, subject performance, and overall progress through graphical representation.

He emphasized the significance of SPIN-ED in streamlining educational data processing, aiding educators and stakeholders in decision-making, and enhancing teaching and learning methodologies.

Mbennah identified his experience as a volunteer teacher as the driving force behind developing SPIN-ED, aiming to address the challenges he observed in academic progress reporting.

Since its inception in 2021, SPIN-ED has been adopted by three schools, marking a milestone in educational technology advancement.
