NCAA Management Commits to Integrity and Ethics in Public Leadership

 


The Commissioner for Conservation at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA), Dr. Elirehema Doriye, on May 5, 2025, led the Authority’s management team in taking the integrity oath for public leaders during an official ceremony held at the NCAA headquarters in Arusha.


Following the oath, Dr. Doriye emphasized the Authority’s dedication to ethical leadership, saying, "The NCAA management is demonstrating a collective commitment to uphold ethics, accountability, and integrity in carrying out our duties in conservation, tourism, community development, and the preservation of Ngorongoro’s unique natural and cultural heritage for the benefit of present and future generations."


Gerald Mwaitebele, Assistant Secretary from the Office of the President, Ethics Secretariat – Northern Zone, outlined the legal foundation of the exercise, stating, "The integrity oath for public leaders is conducted in accordance with the Public Leadership Code of Ethics Act No. 13 of 1995. The Ethics Secretariat is mandated to promote and oversee ethical conduct among public leaders to ensure that they maintain moral standards and proper behavior."

The oath-taking was accompanied by training sessions aimed at educating leaders on ethical guidelines and responsibilities in public service. 


These sessions are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the NCAA management’s performance through principles of integrity, accountability, and good governance.
