The Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Philip Mpango, held discussions with the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Dr. Fatih Birol.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 29th Summit of Heads of State and Government of Member States of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-29), currently being held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The discussions focused on further strengthening the cooperation between Tanzania and the IEA to advance the agenda for clean cooking energy and address climate change challenges.
The exchange highlighted the commitment of both parties to foster sustainable energy solutions and bolster efforts towards achieving environmental resilience.
