Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Angellah Kairuki (Mb), has called on residents of Mpimbwe District, Katavi Region, to protect conservation areas and refrain from engaging in human activities within these zones.
She made these remarks on July 15, 2024, during President Samia Suluhu Hassan's visit to inspect various development projects in the region.
"Let's safeguard our game reserves and avoid agricultural and livestock activities in protected areas," emphasized Minister Kairuki.
Minister Kairuki is currently accompanying President Samia Suluhu Hassan on her official visit to Rukwa Region, aimed at overseeing and promoting development projects in the area.
The minister's appeal underscores the importance of preserving the nation's natural resources found within conservation areas and promoting community involvement in environmental conservation for future generations.
