Rawan Dakik (20), who will be the first Tanzanian woman and also the youngest in Africa to climb the world's highest mountain, has successfully completed the first rotation of 6,400 metres which took her four days from Everest base camp which is 5,300mts above sea level.

She is expected to start her second rotation from Tuesday (April 4,2021) next week which will take her up to 7,200mtrs for five days consecutively.
"Normally it takes about two months to climb Mount Everest, this is the time when the weather is favorable for climbing," said Rawan. She still has one more rotation and the final push to summit the world’s highest peak at 8,850mtrs before the end of May, 2021.
